HomeBudget Lite (w/ Sync) App Reviews

94 add

Home budget

very useful for the management of household finances, simple to use, clear exposition of data

Last update - crash on startup

After last update (14/07) the app crashes on startup. It happens on iPhone 4 iOS 7.1.2. Please fix it

Free version useless

Due to limitation of 20 expense entries. The idea and UI of the app are good.

Not a real budgeting app

This app shows a section for budgeting, but it is really the categories section that keeps a running tally of all expenses within said category. If you have a "budget" for shopping, there is no way to set a limit to track on a monthly basis.

Poor sync

Used the free and it has 20 input limit. Then I paid and it still did not work. They even make it mandatory to get a Dropbox account and still it does not work, or sync. Wish I would have read the reviews before I wasted money

Not quite there yet

I think the broadness of the features contained in this app is great, makes it versatile, however there are some few oversights. The currency list is not as comprehensive as Id have loved it to be or you might want to make provision for people to include currencies that are not listed such as the Zimbabwe and Zambian currencies.

Great App

Its really useful and effective. Now I can organize all my money stuff. Lot of options to work with. The camera options is the best for me. I dont need to keep a lot o paper or receipts anymore. Loved it. And recommend it.

Wonderful

This app has everything I was looking for! I love the graphics, super easy to learn. I wanted something to share across devices and this fits the bill. Going to buy the full version!

App crashes on initial data transfer

Unusable for my purposes.

wheres icloud support?

forget the stupid "familyy sync" ..I CLOUD.....alos, maybe a desktop app would be cool

Potentially good app

If the bugs get worked out. Family Sync does not work. Customer support was rather unhelpful.

Lame

This version only lets you add 10-15 transactions. Im deleting it now. I dont feel like the full version is worth $4.99

Pretty good, but missing some features

I really like this app! Im using the free version, which is fine for now, and Id deffo upgrade to the paid version if they added the ability to add interest expense (such as on a credit card or auto loan) as a percentage. Cheers.

Ugh!

The app has great features and Im sure would be very helpful if it worked. It wouldnt let me put more than one expense or income entry though! I even reset it thinking that would do it.

I Finally found it!!!

Ive had an iPhone for four years and have been anxiously waiting for an app like this the whole time. I dont like the apps that just sync with the bank and guess on upcoming expenses I love to be fully aware of what my money is doing at all times. I really love the family sync. Thank you for letting me try it before I buy it. Ive tried at least a dozen other financial apps and nothing comes close to this one. Time to go make the greatest $4.99 investment of my life. Thanks Again.

App would be great if it worked

Only downloaded the app b/c it was highly praised in a tech article. Very disappointed and upset I wasted time inputting all my information.

Unpredictable

It seemed to work at first but the family sync doesnt work properly, now I cant apply a payment to many bills, it keep thinking I want to edit the bill. Customer support didnt help much, emailed and phones them. Hope it gets better and usable.

Disappointment

Not intuitive at all. Cumbersome to track budgetary expenses. $4.99 well wasted.

Outstanding app for home budgets

This app has an excellent interface, is very easy to learn, and sticks to the task of home budgets. I did not have any difficulty getting expenses entered, updated, and exported. Very smooth and quick response. Well done!

Not Transparent

Thanks for not telling me until after Id used it for a week that this version only allowed 20 expense entries and 10 income entries. That is complete and utter b.s.
