So far this app is really cool. I like that you split expense categories but, I would really love to see split accounts for ways of paying. Example paid my restaurant bill on credit card but left cash as a tip. Or had a gift card for part of the meal and paid cash. Or at a grocery store, you pay with a snap card and part you pay cash. So you can split the expenses up but not the ways of paying on the same receipt without making a separate entry. Fix that, and this is close to 5 stars.

I’m using its paid version. Very good app. BUT: I started living in another country and I wanted to change its home currency. Nope! It has no CSV backup and restore, only binary. No income definition ability.

You’re only allowed to add 10 expenses, after that you’re asked to buy the app to add more. Don’t waste your time download the spending app

Lite app does niet mention that it is limited to some 30 entries. So after having entered your expenses for a few days you can only continue by buying the full version ? Not worth it ?

Best Budgeting app that I’ve ever used! The only thing I wish you could do is go back to previous months from the home screen of the app and not have to go into specific sections to do so.

I don't think it's going down yet but that's not what happened last week. You have to go back and start over with your own personal information. It's not okay.

Don't waste your time! I put all my info in initially only to never be able to get back into it. I have tried reset password and the app just hangs. It says an email is being sent, no email ever received. Cheap, don't waste your time.

I even reset the app and started over. The app information tells us that we can have up to 10 income entries. So if it doesn't do that now, why should I buy just to have it give me other problems? This app shows a section for budgeting, but it is really the categories section that keeps a running tally of all expenses within said category. If you have a "budget" for shopping, there is no way to set a limit to track on a monthly basis.

Due to limitation of 20 expense entries. The idea and UI of the app are good.

I have used GoodBudget for a year and got tired of the confusing ”Add money to envelope” process as well as my red budget bar all-year round. Tried several other top-rated budget apps but finally decided to stick to this one. Here is why: 1. It’s AD-free 2. Free Home sync 3. Very neat and aesthetic interface with a white background and colorful icons. You can assign the desired icons to categories, which is a fun way to personalize the app. 4. Easy to track spendings and create reports. You can even create sub-types within a category of expenses. 5. When reporting the amount of a spending, the calculator pops up, sooo convenient. There is one suggestion though. I wish I could open the dropdown list by tapping anywhere on the tab, not necessarily on the arrow mark on the leftside. Still, I find this the best app for someone that simply wants to track their spending and not bother from other unnecessary and confusing functions.

I find the interface very confusing.

I would buy this app and use it regularly IF, I could change the budget period. As far as I can tell I can only budget for the month and my wife and I use a budget on a two week cycle. Otherwise the interface is one of the best I've seen. The app is user friendly and you can really customize it (minus budget period).

When you hit a road block you can't get support. Difficult to set up your information in the account

What is the purpose of offering foreign currencies in the Accounts category but not in Income, Bills, Expenses and so forth?

Although this app is interesting, it is too complicated. It's design is different from what I prefer, and the format cannot be changed. I like how there aren't any ads, the option to upgrade, and the picture addition. By taking pictures of receipts, this creates another credential to my purchases, which many financial apps don't have. Overall, there are several nice aspects but collectively, its structure is too complicated.

Many things should be improved. Lot's of alerts with long text messages, many actions needed to do manually.

Great app! love the syncing across multiple iOS devices, Dropbox backup all the graphs etc. also really appreciate the developers letting users try the full version (w/ 20 entries) to get a feel for how feature rich this app is before purchasing.

I can't test run the sync because it exits the app when I try to sync (send data to another Iphone)! Developer needs to fix this bug!!!

I've downloaded several finace apps and this one takes the prize!! It's super easy to use. Syncs across all devices. Love it.

I have this. I wanted to buy the full version. It tells me I need iOS 7. I don't want iOS 7. Any chance of re-releasing the version that's compatible with iOS 6? I'm going to rate this 1 until I get an answer. Otherwise it'd probably be 4 or 5.

Installed in large family with 6 different devices and many accounts, devices could not stay in sync longer than a couple days, tech support's only answer is to purchase full version and/or force another initial sync. Also: splits actually split the transaction into two separate transactions; scheduled transactions/bills/income on the 31st only happen on months with a 31st; you must manually enter the exchange rate for each multiple currency transaction instead of the app calculating based on the amounts on each side of the transaction. Tech support stopped answering emails once it was clear they could not help and would have to refund licenses ... Luckily Apple will refund without permission from them.

I would buy your app if there would be a possibility to see expenses yearly and by custome dates. Monthy expense charts is not sufficient for me to see where my money goes. Otherwise it´s very good app.

Easy to use, great interface. Shows balance after bills. Couldnt ask for anything more. I will be buying the full version. Keep up the good work!!

Took 15 minutes to find the "export transactions" link through BofA. Turns out, it's only offered as a PDF, which this app does not support. Do I have to download additional software to convert my statement to a compatible file? This sync process is far too complicated to be worth it. Try "level" for a nice, simple finance app. All you do is enter your bank log-in info and the app does the rest.

Love it except need a option to not add a specific account to home page income totals so a account can have its own totals if needed.

This does everything a full feature app does. It has a bill calendar, recurring expenses, and charts! Looking forward to more updates!

I have only 8 expenses and 1 income entries .The overall concept is great, but there are some bugs must be fixed: Family Sync is not functioning properly between my PC and my Iphone, delayed and incomplete Sync which makes this feature worthless. When i tried to contact the support team via the app form itself, it failed to send my feedback. So i used my yahoo mail, the reply i got was this "Family Sync works properly only with the paid version". The last issue is am not able attach any scanned receipts or any JPG images.

I love the family sync option. It was what was lacking with the other apps.

WARNING: this app is limited to 20 Expense entries and 10 income entries. I've wasted 2 hours entering data, and no way I'm mapping $5 for the full app. I would pay $2 maximum, if they made certain changes: 1. Allow me to upload icons. The current icons for categories are not sufficient (for example, there is no icon for "savings", like a piggie-bank) 2. Allow me to add entries without choosing a subcategory. I don't want to have categorize precisely every small item. This is too tedious. 3. Make the charts more clear and simple.

I should have listened to the scam alert:/. Yes after 20 entries you have to upgrade and the upgrade is like 6$ the most expensive app I've had to buy! Not good karma, home budget.

It's okay. This app will get the job done, but it's very cluttered. if you're looking for a simple in & out, this isn't it. I ended up deleting before I reached the end of the trial.

Hands down to the programmers on this one. After several downloads and trials on other apps. My family found EXACTLY what we're looking for. will definitely share with all our family and friends. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!

You are only allowed 20 expense entries and 10 income entries TOTAL before you have to pay to upgrade the app, rendering the program useless. I wasted my time thinking that extra features were what was offered in the paid version, but, be warned, the free version would more rightly be called a "trial" version since after you reach the limits you can no longer make any helpful entries. Waste of time. (Expletive deleted to remain "family friendly")

App has good features. But lite version is too limited. Expense input limitations prevent any real use. Should call it one week budget trial.

So far, my husband and I are really enjoying this app! We are able to see what each other are spending, and he is more aware of our account balance these days.

I love this app!! I have been using for about a year now and won't go without it. I haven't had the trouble people are talking about. I did have trouble syncing at first with my iPad. But I just realized that when I sent the initial data transfer that I had to accept it on all devices again. That fixed that problem. :) It hasn't let me down. Just wanted to let the makers know that there are some very pleased customers out here. Thanks for a great product!!

This app is terrible!! It doesn't sync properly and only allows you to input a certain amount of expenses a month. Don't waste your time!

Thanks for not telling me until after I'd used it for a week that this version only allowed 20 expense entries and 10 income entries. That is complete and utter b.s.

This app has an excellent interface, is very easy to learn, and sticks to the task of home budgets. I did not have any difficulty getting expenses entered, updated, and exported. Very smooth and quick response. Well done!

Not intuitive at all. Cumbersome to track budgetary expenses. $4.99 well wasted.

It seemed to work at first but the family sync doesn't work properly, now I can't apply a payment to many bills, it keep thinking I want to edit the bill. Customer support didn't help much, emailed and phones them. Hope it gets better and usable.
